Warm and dry Monday, showers Tuesday, more rain Thanksgiving

Sunday started cold, with morning lows near freezing (32°) across most of our area. However, Sunday afternoon turned out to be pleasant, with high temperatures near 70° and abundant sunshine. Sunday night remains milder, with lows in the mid to upper 40s and a mostly clear sky. Monday looks dry and warm with sunshine. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 70s.

Rain returns Tuesday, mainly early in the day in the form of scattered showers. Those move across our area in advance of a cold front. Tuesday afternoon looks drier and may features some sunshine. Temperatures remain somewhat mild in the wake of the front, though Tuesday night lows may fall into the 40s. Clouds linger Wednesday, with isolated showers possible.

Another weather system develops across the mid and deep south Wednesday night into Thanksgiving. That likely results in rain, maybe storms for our area Thursday. A cold front sweeps through our area by Thursday night. Temperatures turn much colder behind the front, with highs only in the upper 50s to low 60s for the rest of the holiday weekend. Overnight lows fall back into the 30s each night.
