15 arrested in Autauga County in suspected child sex trafficking operation

Authorities in Autauga County have made more than a dozen arrests in a suspected human trafficking operation.

A two-day operation led to the arrests of 15 people.

Investigators say most are charged with human trafficking in the first degree, electronic solicitation of a child and travelling to meet a child for an illegal sex act.

The suspects are being held without bond.

This investigation involved the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office, Prattville police, Montgomery police, the U.S. Marshal, the 19th Judicial Circuit and the Covenant Rescue Group.

Investigators say additional charges may be filed.
