Two killed in house fire in Georgiana

A family is mourning tonight after two people were killed in a house fire in Butler County. The fire happened at 3:20 a.m. Sunday morning in the town of Georgiana. Georgiana Police Chief Jeremy Peagler tells Action 8 News that fire medics responded to the call and found two victims inside the home.

The ages and identities of the victims have not been released. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the deadly fire and we will update this story when more information becomes available.
