Cold And Getting Colder!

A very cold air mass continues to hold firm across the deep south.  We even have a re-enforcing shot of colder air coming in behind a front early Tuesday.  This will be another surge of Arctic air and will be the coldest so far this fall.  We’re expecting mid to upper 20s for low temps early Wednesday morning.  Make sure those exposed pipes are wrapped before the much colder air arrives!  Another frontal system will move into the area Thursday.  This boundary will bring a round of rain with it. The rain departs late Thursday and then another surge of cold air moves into the region early Friday.   Looks like moisture will return to the area and that will lead to more rain activity over the weekend.  We expect a few days of clouds and showers to linger over us.  Temps will actually climb a bit and we’re managing 60s for highs Sunday and maybe even nudging 70 degrees Monday.
