Rain Overnight Then More Cold Air Heads Our Way
The very cold air has retreated for now but in its place will be rain. Another frontal system will move into the area overnight into Thursday. This boundary will bring a round of rain with it. Rainfall amounts will range between a quarter to half an inch. The rain departs early but the clouds may linger through most of Thursday. Another surge of cold air moves into the region early Friday. We will experience a couple of nights with temps down in the upper 20 to lower 30s Friday and Saturday. We pick up a southerly wind flow over the upcoming weekend. This will cut off the cold air and allow a warming trend to get underway. We could see upper 50s Saturday afternoon and upper 60s by Sunday afternoon. Along with the warmer air comes an increase in moisture and that will lead to more rain activity early next week. We expect a several days of clouds and showers to linger over us. Temps will actually climb a bit and we’re managing upper 60s to lower 70s for highs Monday through the middle of next week.
