“Christmas in Candyland” opens in Andalusia
“Christmas in Candyland” has now opened for the season in downtown Andalusia.
This is the 11th year for the month-long event. You can find snow shows, train rides, a polar bear slide, 50 play cottages and much more.
“Candyland has continued to grow every single year. Last year, we had 65,000 visits at Christmas in Candyland. Some of those visits were people who visited more than once. Last year, we had a whole family who drove from Long Island, New York, to spend the weekend with us. We’ve enjoyed some national publicity, and that’s brought people to Andalusia who never would’ve heard of us otherwise,” Michele Gerlach, the communications director for the city of Andalusia told Action 8 News.
Andalusia was named one of Southern Living magazine’s top places to enjoy Christmas in the South.
