Montgomery woman dead in city’s latest shooting

Montgomery police are investigating the city’s latest homicide.

Maj. Saba Coleman tells Action 8 News that around 9:00 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 300 block of Georgia Street after receiving a call that a person had been shot.

Once they arrived, they located 26-year-old Courtney Gunn, of Montgomery, with a fatal gunshot wound. Gunn was pronounced dead on the scene.

This is the 59th homicide of the year.
