THANK YOU for donating to Action 8’s Magical Christmas Toy Drive
All of us at Action 8 want to say thank you to all of you who donated hundreds of toys to our 11th Annual Magical Christmas Toy Drive.
This year, our Toy Vault was at the Shoppes at EastChase for the first time. You were able to see on TV each night how the pile of toys grew and grew.
A second truck was needed to help carry them away. That’s never happened before.
The toys will now be organized and distributed by the Salvation Army to local families who have registered for help this Christmas. That will happen Friday, December 20.
“Times are hard for all of us,” Capt. Thomas Johnson of the Montgomery office of the Salvation Army said. “In our world, we just never know how things are going to be. However, when the community steps up, we see what happened today. It’s magical.”
We also want to thank our corporate partners:Â The Shoppes at EastChase, ASE Credit Union, Hawthorne Atchison Riddle, South University, Jack Ingram Motors and Servpro.
They, along with additional toy dropoff locations including Health Services, Inc., Signs Now and Urgent Ortho by Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons, want to express their gratitude.
