Cold Air Heading Southward Again
We’re gradually transitioning into a colder weather pattern as old man winter make his return! Winter officially begins this Saturday. In the meantime, colder air will be spilling into the deep south leading up to the winter solstice. You will notice a temperature change tonight into early Friday. We start out in the mid to upper 30s and only rebound into the upper 50s to near 60 Friday afternoon. Another frontal boundary will move through the area Friday night. An even colder surge of air flows into the region behind the frontal passage. Overnight temps will be much colder with upper 20s to lower 30s during the weekend. The colder and dry conditions continue into Monday but we’re gradually warming as we go into the holiday period. Temps will be well into the 60s for highs and lows in the 40s so no white Christmas for us this time around. We will be dealing with some showers and possibly t-storms Christmas Day. Doesn’t look like anything too impressive but rain gear may be required at times.
