Montgomery Fire/Rescue battles another fire at a vacant hotel
Montgomery firefighters spent part of the evening battling another fire at a vacant hotel Friday night.
Firefighters were called around 10:30 p.m. to the 4200 block of Inn South Avenue on a possible structure fire.
Once they arrived, they found a two story vacant hotel with smoke showing. After declaring a W-3 working fire, crews were able to put out the fire.
Investigators didn’t find anyone inside. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is the third hotel fire in Montgomery this month. The first happened on December 2 at an occupied hotel on Carmichael Road. The second one happened the next day at a vacant hotel also on Carmichael Road.
