Wet and stormy at times through early Sunday
Scattered showers will affect some locations in Central and South Alabama today, with a few thunderstorms possible this afternoon. Rain and lightning will become more likely Friday night and this weekend.
Storms that occur late Saturday could be capable of producing hail and damaging winds, along with heavy rain and frequent lightning. If a severe weather threat does develop, it could linger past sunrise on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to reach the lower 70s both days this weekend.
