Alexander City man killed in Tallapoosa County crash
An Alexander City man has been killed after crashing the SUV he was driving.
Alabama State Troopers say 36-year-old Derek McVey was driving the SUV when it left the road, hit a fence, a mailbox and several trees before overturning. They say he was not using a seat belt and was thrown out of the SUV and died.
The crash happened at about 8:44PM last night on Campground Road near Kodiak Lane, about four miles northeast of Alexander City.
