Tornado flips trailer with family inside in Lowndes Co.
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Some Lowndes County residents are counting their blessings tonight — after surviving an encounter with a tornado — over the weekend.
The tornado downed trees — knocked out power — and damaged several structures in the Knight Place Rd. area.
It also blew a mobile home off its foundation — and flipped it over — with the family inside.
“Stuff was falling down and I was floating. The door opened up. So, I was getting ready to fly out the door but the stove came and snatched me, and pinned me to the wall and stopped me from flying out the door,” said Traevun Scott.
The family survived the ordeal with only a few stitches — bumps — and bruises.
