Goodwater man dies in Coosa County crash
A crash in Coosa County has claimed the life of a Goodwater man.
The single-vehicle accident happened around 2:19 a.m. Sunday on Coosa County 70 near Coosa County 41, approximately seven miles south of Sylacauga.
Troopers say 28-year-old Brian Combest was fatally injured when the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway and hit several trees. Combest, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the cause of the crash.
