ACTION 8 UPDATE: Man shot, killed on Zelda Road in Montgomery

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police say a man was shot and killed in the 2600 block of Zelda Road at about 12:30 this afternoon.

Our news crew found crime scene tape at the Chevron gas station next to Krystal and across from McDonald’s.

Police have identified the victim as 24-year-old Rodriquez Harris, Jr., of Montgomery. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they have launched a homicide investigation into his death. They ask that if you have a tip, to call Central Alabama CrimeStoppers at (334) 215-STOP.

This is Montgomery’s first homicide of 2025.
