Moisture will move into our cold air mass later this week
Dry weather should continue across Central and South Alabama until late Thursday night. Temperatures still won’t climb out of the 40s today and tomorrow, and most locations will drop into the middle 20s or colder before sunrise Thursday.
It won’t be as cold Friday morning, but perhaps cold enough for a brief period of sleet or freezing rain as far south as Montgomery and Selma. Icing could create hazardous driving conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses. A cold rain is expected areawide during the day Friday as the thermometer struggles to reach 40 degrees.
