Butler County Sheriff Retiring after 40 Years in Law Enforcement

Butler County Sheriff Danny Bond is planning to retire at the end of January effectively starting a new chapter in his life. Sheriff Bond began his career with Butler County law enforcement in the town of Georgiana in 1985. He has worked in many areas of law enforcement including Nursing Investigator.

He tells Action 8 News that he is currently dealing with a health situation and has decided that it is best for himself and for the county that he steps away.

Sheriff Bond’s last official day of service to Butler County will be January 31, 2024.
