Man dies after single-car crash in Lee County

A man has died after a single-car crash in Lee County.

Alabama State Troopers say 19-year-old Devon Nicholas Bellar-Yates of Salem was critically hurt when the car he was driving left the road and overturned. Investigators say he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the wreckage. He was taken to East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika where he died.

The wreck happened at about 10:57AM today on Lee County Road 158, about 13 miles east of Opelika.
