Milder afternoon temperatures through Friday, then weekend rain
Wednesday morning was cold enough for frost in most locations, with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. Far southern Alabama was an exception, where clouds overnight kept temperatures milder. That may happen again Wednesday night. In fact, clouds were more widespread south and west early Wednesday afternoon. The sky was more sunny further north. Wednesday afternoon remains partly cloudy with high temperatures approaching 60°.
Wednesday night looks mostly clear and cold north, with lows in the low 30s. However, more clouds towards the Florida state line keeps temperatures milder there. Showers appear possible late Wednesday night across the far south too. However, looks like most of the clouds and rain depart by sunrise Thursday. Thursday looks mostly sunny with high temperatures near 60°. Thursday night lows fall into the low 30s. Friday looks partly cloudy with highs in the low 60s.
Rain arrives in west Alabama late Friday evening. It spreads across the rest of our area Friday night. Rain continues into Saturday morning, but Saturday afternoon could trend drier.
