Pre-mass meeting and warrant clinic set for Thursday in Selma

People in Selma with outstanding traffic and misdemeanor warrants — listen up.

A Warrant Clinic will be held at the Historic First Baptist Church — followed by a Pre-Mass Meeting.

The warrant clinic will give people who have outstanding traffic offenses and misdemeanors — the opportunity to address their warrants without the fear of being arrested.

“This is a historic opportunity for those individuals that have been plagued with warrants that has this issue outstanding,” said Billy Young.

“This is an opportunity for individuals to take care of it. They’ll be able to speak to court personnel to try to get those issues resolved. And things like warrants don’t just go away. You’ve got to take the initiative to take care of them.”

The warrant clinic starts at 4 pm — and the mass meeting starts at 6.
