ACTION 8 UPDATE: One of the victims in the Prattville house fire dies from injuries

The City of Prattville says one of the victims from this morning’s house fire has died.

The fire happened at around 9AM at a manufactured home in the 300 block of Summerhill Road.

Prattville firefighters say a 17-year-old male and a 48-year-old male immediately received advanced life support care on the scene and were taken to Prattville Baptist for treatment.

Officials say the 48-year-old male victim died from his injuries. The 17-year-old was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham further treatment.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Fire Marshal’s Office.
