Georgiana Opry House Honored by the State of Alabama as Historic Site

 

The Georgiana Opry House is recognized as a historical pillar in the state by becoming a part of the Alabama Historic District landmark. An honor which confirms that the theatre is a significant stepping stone to the development and future developmental success of Georgiana. Established in 1939 the theatre has touched the lives of many through music.

Now the place that started the careers of many great mucsical artists including Hank Williams, Sr. is recognized for its dedication.

The Georgiana Opry House joins the ranks of other historical sites across Alabama, with nearly 20 sites across the state’s counties.
