International Paper donates coats & books for Dallas Co. youth

From the West Alabama Newsroom–

One of Dallas County’s biggest employers — teams-up with one the county’s biggest charities — to make a warm investment in the community.

International Paper donated about 120 brand new coats Friday — to give out to the Dallas County youth — this winter.

Waka Coatsbooks0117 PkgChristine Robinson spent the morning hanging up coats — and unpacking boxes of book bags — at Edmundite Missions’ The Boutique and More location on the 1000 block of Minter Avenue.

Edmundite Missions President & CEO Chad McEachern  says International Paper donated the coats and books — to help the mission respond to the needs of people in the community — and to make an investment in the community’s youth.

“It’s a wonderful day when the mission’s supported by a corporation like International Paper because they actually care. They’re employing individuals from the community and you can’t ask for a better partnership than that,” said McEachern.

The mission will also hand out coats and books — at it’s Bullock Community and Recreation Center.
