ACTION 8 WEATHER AUTHORITY: Warming centers are opening across the area due to the bitterly cold temperatures and the expected winter storm on Tuesday.
Here is the latest list of shelters, provided by the Alabama Emergency Management Agency. It would be good to verify that a particular shelter is open before you arrive. Also, shelters have different policies regarding pets and food. It’s best to check ahead.
