StoryCorps makes a stop at Montgomery Regional Airport to find unique stories

Story tellers of various ages came to the Montgomery Regional Airport on Sunday and had the chance to share their unique histories. The Montgomery Regional Airport partnered with StoryCorps a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing humanity’s stories. Members of the community had a chance to contribute their voices by recording meaningful conversations with friends or loved ones.

These recordings will be archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, and some stories could be featured on NPR’s Morning Edition. Organizers say this was a powerful opportunity to showcase the inspiring and diverse stories that define Montgomery and beyond.

To date, StoryCorps has recorded more than 600,000 conversations with more than 1.2 million participants.
