Elmore County Civic Improvement League pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
A large crowd gathered in Wetumpka on Sunday to recognize the achievements of members of the community and pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Elmore County Civic Improvement League partnered with the City of Wetumpka to host their annual MLK Day banquet.
Guests enjoyed food and fellowship as they watched Wetumpka High School’s color guard team conduct the Presenting of the Arms and listened to guest speaker Anneshia Hardy. Awards were handed out to teachers and county leaders who have made a big impact. The banquet took place at the Wetumpka Civic Center.
