A man has been injured in a house fire in Montgomery.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper said the fire happened at around 11AM on Saturday, January 19, at a home in the 1300 block of Biscayne Drive.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke and flames from the one-story home.

Cooper said crews made an interior attack and located the fire in the attic. Everyone who had been inside the home got out by the time fire crews arrived, he said.

A man was treated for second and third-degree burns to the face and hands and was taken to the Baptist Medical South ER for treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
