People in Selma react to declassification of JFK, MLK, RFK assassination records

President Donald Trump orders the declassification of government records concerning the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy — Senator Robert Kennedy — and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Three assassinations during the 1960’s that have been etched into the pages of U.S. history — and the hearts and minds of the American people.
A beloved U.S. president — a drum major for justice — and a U.S. senator and presidential candidate. Each gunned down on U.S. soil — in the prime of life.
All three were influential national figures revered by people all over the world.
Now all of the government records related to the assassinations will be released to the public.
However, some people are questioning the President Trump’s motive.
“The release of the information doesn’t in itself seem like something that’s wrong. I do question the motive,” said Marguerite Benson of Washington D.C.
“All of those things have remained classified for a number of years — and I just hope and pray he’s releasing it for the right reason,” said Selma attorney and civil rights activist Hank Sanders.
According to the White House — the records should to be released within the next couple of months.
