Very warm this week, a chance for rain before next weekend

It was a pleasant start to February weather-wise for our area, with abundant sunshine Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was even warmer than Saturday, with highs in the low 70s. However, Sunday night looks cool again with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Monday looks mainly sunny and very warm, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Monday night looks milder, with lows near 50°.

Clouds increase Tuesday and Wednesday, but both days stay mainly dry. High temperatures remain in the mid to upper 70s each day. In fact, high temperatures may approach 80° Wednesday and Thursday. A weak front heads towards Alabama Thursday. It fades away late this week without much of an effect on temperatures. However, Thursday and Friday look mostly cloudy with scattered showers as a result.

Some clouds and spotty showers may linger into next weekend. Meanwhile, temperatures remain warm, with highs in the mid to upper 70s Saturday, and low to mid 70s Sunday. Temperatures may finally turn cooler next Monday. Models hint a front heads our way Sunday, which may bring not only the cooler air, but a chance for rain Sunday into Monday.
