Montgomery Chorale holds first concert of 2025
The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts was filled with the sound of music and powerful vocals on Sunday.
The Montgomery Chorale hosted its first concert of the year titled, “What A Wonderful World.”
The concert not only included orchestrated pieces from world-famous composers like Frank Ticheli and Daniel Edler, but also included musical performances from Alabama State University’s own Trebled Soul Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
Organizers say the goal of the concert was to build a sense of community through the power of music and to showcase local talent from the River Region.
“We have a wonderful world. We have a wonderful city. We have a wonderful neighborhood. We have a wonderful community that we get to serve, and we get to do wonderful and beautiful things for and in, and with this community, and it’s something never to be taken lightly and something to celebrate,” Dr. James Seay, the artistic director of the Montgomery Chorale, told Action 8 News.
The Montgomery Chorale is also hosting its 50th year celebration in May. CLICK HERE to find out more about the event.
