The Pike County Sheriff’s Office has moved temporarily after water pipes burst at the county’s judicial complex due to the recent bitterly cold temperatures.
The sheriff’s office has moved to an office downstairs. It has placed signs to help people find its temporary location, according to Sheriff Russell Thomas.
As Action 8 News has reported, pipes froze, thawed and burst, flooding part of the Pike County Judicial Complex in late January when the area experienced a snowstorm along with dangerously cold temperatures.
Thomas told us that five offices were flooded.
