Dallas County man found guilty in 2018 Orrville shooting

A Dallas County man is convicted of assault in a 2018 Orrville shooting.
A jury found 47 year old Jimmie Powell guilty of the lesser included charge of assault in the first degree on Wednesday.
Powell was being tried for attempted murder.
He was accused of shooting Darius Irby of Orrville in the face with a Glock 357 handgun.
Circuit Judge Collins Pettaway set sentencing for Powell in May.
An assault-first conviction carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
