Temperatures remain fairly warm this week, multiple rounds of rain

Sunday was another very warm day across central and south Alabama. While the morning was mostly cloudy, the sky opened up during the afternoon. Sunshine warmed temperatures into the upper 70s north to mid 80s south. However, Sunday night looks a bit cooler, thanks to a cold front which moves just south of our area Monday. Temperatures fall into the low to mid 50s Sunday night, with increasing clouds.

Monday looks mostly cloudy with isolated showers. Temperatures remain mild, with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Monday night lows only fall into the upper 50s. Tuesday through Thursday look warmer, with highs in the low to mid 70s. Chances for rain look higher too, especially late Tuesday, and again late Wednesday through Wednesday night. Thursday afternoon through Friday look drier.

However, rain likely returns over the weekend. A cold front may sweep through the southeast, resulting in drier and cooler weather early next week.
