Construction of new Linden High School approved
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Linden City School announces plans to build a multi-million dollar — state-of-the-art — new high school.
Superintendent Dr. Timothy Thurman says construction of the new Linden High School is set to get underway this spring.
He says the new school will come equipped with the latest technology and security features.
It’ll take about a year to build — and should be finished by next spring.
“Our students do great things. And I want them to have the newest of technology and you know, safety,” said Thurman.
“When that building was built they never would’ve imagined the time that we’re living in now.”
“It’s been here since our parents and our parents’ parents,” said Brittany Johnson.
“So, I think everybody is excited for it.’
Thurman says the new high school will cost about $7 million dollars to build.
