A severe weather threat is expected by Wednesday afternoon or evening

Rain and cool breezes have kept Montgomery’s temperature in the 50s this morning, but we expect to surge into the 70s Wednesday afternoon.  The incoming warm and humid air mass will likely provide favorable conditions for thunderstorms that could produce damaging winds.  The threat for severe weather could linger past midnight tonight in some areas.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Flood Watch for many locations north of Montgomery and Selma, effective until four o’clock Thursday morning.
