Arson suspect wanted in connection to Union Springs fire
A suspect is wanted in connection with the arson of two businesses in Union Springs over the weekend.
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers say 33-year-old Tommie Cortez Holmes is suspected of setting fires to the businesses Saturday in the 200 block of North Prairie Street.
Holmes is described as 5’10” and weighs approximately 194 lbs.
Retired Macon County Emergency Management Agency Director Frank Lee said several buildings were destroyed and a mutual aid call was issued so that other fire departments can help.
The fire destroyed the Union Springs Pharmacy and the La Azteca restaurant.
