Very cold through Friday, warming up this weekend into next week
Thursday morning was very cold. Maybe not in terms of actual air temperatures, which were in the upper 20s to low 30s. However, wind chills were below 20° early Thursday morning. Sunshine was abundant by midday, but air temperatures were still in the 30s at that point. High temperatures range from the upper 30s to low 40s Thursday afternoon, some 20-25° below average for February 20th. Wind chills remain in the 30s.
Thursday night looks very cold, with lows in the low to mid 20s. A north breeze lingers, so wind chills fall below 20° again early Friday morning. Friday looks partly cloudy and dry with highs in the 40s to low 50s. Friday night lows range from the upper 20s to low 30s. The weekend looks milder, with high temperatures in the 50s to low 60s. Saturday and Sunday look mainly dry, a isolated showers appear possible Sunday.
Next week looks warmer and dry through Wednesday. Afternoon temperatures reach the mid to upper 60s Monday, and low 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Some rain appears possible late next week. Temperatures may fall late next week into next weekend in the wake of a cold front.
