Rain Sunday night, sunshine returns Monday, warmer this week

Sunday was a cloudy and cool day across central and south Alabama. High temperatures were only in the 50s. Rain arrived in southwest Alabama during the afternoon. Showers remain possible Sunday evening through Sunday night. However, rain coverage looks to remain somewhat scattered. Temperatures fall into the low 40s early Monday morning.

Outside of a few spotty showers early Monday morning, Monday looks mainly dry. Sunshine increases during the afternoon. Temperatures warm into the mid 60s. Tuesday and Wednesday look even warmer, with highs in the low 70s Tuesday, and mid 70s Wednesday. Another cold front arrives Thursday. Temperatures turn slightly cooler, with highs in the mid to upper 60s.

A few showers appear possible due to the front Thursday. It looks like our area receives little rain. Friday looks mostly sunny and dry again, with highs in the upper 60s. Next weekend and the start of March look pleasant at this time. Saturday and Sunday look mostly sunny with high temperatures near 70°.
