Head-on crash in Opelika kills juvenile, injures others
Opelika police are investigating an apparent head-on crash that left a juvenile dead and injured several others.
Police say the wreck happened at about 5:23PM yesterday in the 3500 block of Marvyn Parkway, which is south of Interstate 85 off Exit 60/Highway 51.
The crash involved a car and an SUV. Police say two adults and two juveniles were in the car. One of the juveniles was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was flown to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham for treatment. The two adults were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
The driver of the SUV along with a juvenile passenger in that vehicle were taken by personal vehicle for treatment.
