Cooler through Friday with some clouds, a few showers Thursday
Wednesday was a sunny, spring-like day across central and south Alabama. Morning lows were near 40°, but daytime highs were near 80°. Wednesday night remains milder, with lows near 50°. Clouds increase Thursday as a cold front enters Alabama. A few showers appear possible as the front moves through. However, water content in the atmosphere looks very limited. That means many locations remain dry.
Temperatures remain cooler due to the front, with highs in the low 70s. Thursday night turns colder with a clearing sky. Lows range from the upper 30s to low 40s. Friday looks mainly sunny with highs in the low 70s. The weekend looks dry with plenty of sunshine too. Afternoon temperatures reach the low 70s Saturday, but may remain in the 60s Sunday due to a dry cold front.
Clouds increase early next week. A few spotty showers appear possible Monday. However, Tuesday looks mainly dry. A more significant chance for rain arrives Wednesday. Models show a cold front sending widespread showers and probably storms across the lower Mississippi River during that time. Thursday may be drier and cooler again after the front moves through Alabama.
