13-year-old dies after ATV crash in Conecuh County

A 13-year-old has died one week after being injured in an ATV crash in Conecuh County which injured two other children.

Alabama state troopers say the crash happened on Wide Road near Paradise Road, about 15 miles north of Evergreen, on Monday, February 17.

State troopers say the 13-year-old was critically injured when the four-wheel ATV the juvenile was driving left the roadway and overturned. The juvenile was not using a seat belt and was ejected, investigators say. The juvenile died at a hospital on Monday, February 24.

State troopers say a 6-year-old child and a 1-year-old baby were also on the ATV. They were both injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
