A Couple Of Chilly Mornings Ahead
A reminder it is still winter and you will feel it the next couple of mornings. Northwesterly winds are ushering in chilly air and morning temps are falling back into the mid 30s late week. It’s a brief cool snap as spring-like warmth quickly returns Friday afternoon.
In the meantime, high pressure moves over ahead and our sky begins to clear out tonight. We briefly settle back into a mainly sunny and dry weather pattern. The air mass will be a bit cooler underneath the high and morning temps trend colder. We’re expecting mid to upper 30s both Thursday and Friday morning. Daytime highs will manage the lower 60s Thursday but 70s by Friday afternoon.
The upcoming weekend will be our next opportunity for rain activity. Another frontal system will move into the state Saturday. This round will be mainly rain with no severe storm threat expected at this time. We’re turning a bit cooler on the backside of the frontal system Sunday. High temps will only manage the lower to mid 60s Sunday afternoon.
Next week is looking mainly sunny and much warmer by midweek. We’re expecting highs in the mid to upper 70s with the possibility of a few spots reaching the 80 degree mark. Morning temps will come up as well. You can expect 40s for the early half of the week with 50s returning by Thursday morning.
Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed this Saturday night. It’s that time of the year to spring forward.
