ACTION 8 UPDATE: Victim’s name released in fatal Montgomery shooting

ACTION 8 UPDATE: The name of the man shot and killed in the 2200 block of E. 3rd Street in Montgomery has been released.

Police say 31-year-old Michael Ligon was shot at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 5.

Ligon was pronounced dead at the scene.

A homicide investigation has now been launched.
