Montgomery Habitat for Humanity hosts “Women’s Build Day”

Some women in the Montgomery area rolled up their sleeves this weekend for a good cause.

The Montgomery Habitat for Humanity honored Women’s History Month with a “Women’s Build Day.”

The event was aimed at bringing women from all different paths together to continue work on houses that will provide affordable new homes for deserving families in the area.

Along with Montgomery City Councilor Julie Beard, today’s Build Day was guided by “Women in Leadership” from the U.S. Air Force Senior NCO Academy at Maxwell Air Force Base.

Since its inception, the Montgomery Habitat for Humanity has made it possible for 85 local families to receive the keys to their new home.
