Two horses injured in drive-by shooting; Clanton man arrested
CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) — A Clanton man is in custody after allegedly shooting two horses in a drive-by shooting at a Chilton County farm Friday evening, according to the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office.
The horses’ owners were feeding them around 5 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 350 and County Road 37 when shots were fired from a passing vehicle, authorities said.
The horses were injured but are expected to survive.
Steven Robertson, 28, was arrested and charged with two counts of killing or disabling livestock, two counts of reckless endangerment, and public intoxication, according to the sheriff’s office.
Robertson remains in the Chilton County Jail. Authorities did not release a motive for the shooting.
