Auburn slides to No. 3 in AP Top 25 College Basketball Poll; Alabama rises to No. 5

Auburn’s eight-week streak as the nation’s number one men’s college basketball team is over, as the Tigers slide to No. 3.

Auburn lost to then-No. 7 Alabama 93-91 on its home court on Saturday to end the teams’ regular season. With the victory, Alabama has risen two spots to No. 5.

Auburn had also lost to Texas A&M that week.

Duke has now jumped to the No. 1 spot, with Houston at No. 2. After Auburn, it’s Florida at No. 4.

Elsewhere, Oregon and Illinois return to the poll while Arizona and Mississippi State dropped out.
