ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police investigating fatal shooting

ACTION 8 UPDATE: The Montgomery Police Department has launched a death investigation after a fatal shooting.

Police say 38-year-old Thomas Berg of Montgomery was shot at around 2:27PM in the 2800 block of Fieldcrest Drive. Our Action 8 News crew saw a large police presence and ambulances at that location, which is near Vaughn Road Park.

Berg was taken to a medical  facility and pronounced dead.  

Police have released no other details about the shooting.
