Man wanted on multiple warrants in Millbrook arrested
A man wanted in Millbrook on multiple warrants is now in custody.
Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson said officers were on patrol Tuesday in the 3700 block of Martha Lane where they located 37-year-old Carroll McCullers.
McCullers was wanted on a total of 11 misdemeanor Failure to Appear warrants issued by the Millbrook Municipal Court, as well as multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants out of the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office.
Chief Johnson said an officer attempted to make contact with McCullers before the suspect began to walk away. The officer ordered the suspect to stop, but he continued running into a nearby home.
Additional officers responded to the home, setting a perimeter to ensure that McCullers was unable to escape by exiting the rear of the house.
After repeated attempts to get McCullers to exit the home were unsuccessful, officers made entry, quickly taking McCullers into custody without incident or injury.
Due to him fleeing from officers, McCullers was additionally charged with Attempting to Elude.
McCullers is currently in the Elmore County Jail on a $3,352.00 bond.
