Rain should be scattered today, with some areas staying dry

Widespread rain is no longer expected on Thursday, but scattered showers and thunderstorms will affect various locations from late morning through the afternoon.  Any storms that develop could be capable of producing hail and damaging winds, but the severe weather threat appears much greater on Saturday as compared to today.

Temperatures should climb over 80 degrees with dry weather on Friday.  Windy conditions will develop on Saturday, and a Tornado Watch is likely to be issued with heavy rain and severe thunderstorms during the PM hours.
