8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: General Motors is recalling more than 90,000 Cadillac models and Chevrolet Camaros.

They are being recalled because of a transmission issue. According to the recall notice, the transmission can suffer internal damage which could cause the front wheels to lock up.

GM says that could increase the risk of a crash.

The recall affects these models:

2020-2021 Cadillac CT4
2020-2021 Cadillac CT5
2019-2020 Cadillac CT6
2020-2022 Chevrolet Camaro

Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified by mail toward the end of next month. Dealers will install a transmission control module monitoring software free of charge.
